Daily Driver!!!

Looking to pick up a daily. Id much rather go through the forum instead of sifting through the countless civics on CL. "cars in perfect shape just needs a motor and transmission"
If at all possible, mileage under 180k, price 3k or less.
looking at keeping it JDMYO. 3 pedals is better. located in NJ

Get a moped. Cheap to insure and you don't even have to get a license.

And? They can do up to 70 if you mod (yep) the 50cc motors.

youve never been to jersey have you lol..70 is the speed you go when you want to get run off the road. 80-85 is flow of traffic in most areas. im not trying to ride at WOT throttle on a small as chit tire in 8 lanes of traffic
no. a moped is not a safe choice. many motorists do not ride the GSP in anything less than a 400cc
http://scootdawg.proboards.com/thread/19169

NJ moped manual
"• Do not drive MOPEDs on:
1.Interstate highways, the Garden State Parkway, the New Jersey
Turnpike or the Atlantic City Expressway;
2. Four-lane highways divided by a grass or concrete median;
3.Highways with a speed limit over 50 miles per hour (The Director of
Motor Vehicle Services is authorized to prohibit MOPED use on
roadways with a speed limit of over 40 miles per hour when such
roadways are considered unsafe for MOPED operation.);
4. Railroads or rights-of-way of operating railroads;
5.Any public lands prohibited by a governing body; and
6. Sidewalks."

thanks for trying to get me killed lol

I had an 08 civic 2 door. It was great on gas and slower than walking.

Get a Fiat 500 lease. $0 down, $99 a month. They are great little commuter cars, easy to drive and park. Get about 35 mpg and no worries of breaking down like an old civic. With taxes/insurance and everything you'll be around $140-$150 a month.

I agree with buddiee. The new fiats are way cooler than an older honda. One step up from a moped too.

Leases are reported to FICA as installment loans (like a home mortgage) and will actually increase your credit score.

If I were in your shoes, I would still look for a beater. (Does end up being cheaper in long run, assuming you have no mechanical issues at all with used car) But it is nice piece of mind, less risk, and good backup plan if you dont find anything.

Don't you own a daily driver? Always loved the G but never had any illusions about keeping it as some weekend play toy that required a beater during the weekdays.
