My sister and I participated in a Filipino exhibit in Beverly Hills called, "I Am Today's Filipino". It's a photography & video exhibit documenting present-day Filipinos, one-hundred years after the first significant wave of Filipino migration to the US.
The opening reception was last week and the exhibit will be traveling around the U.S. The Smithsonian Institue is leading the national commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the first Filipino immigrants who came in 1906. So. Cal has over 1 million Filipino residents!

I am going to the Philippines this coming March 2007 and was wondering if diamonds are cheaper to buy there than in the USA? I was thinking about buying an engagement ring for my gf while I was there.
