I think some of the people from this thread have already done it. Didn't turn out too well since not many Taiwanese are around here. But I'd be down to just have a couple of us and let's go grubb together or something.

Yup it is pretty close to the airport, but more closer to "zong yong University" if you know where that is. I can only write my name and some small words probably not even 25% of it off the top of my head, but I can still read about 98%. Speaking + listening I have no problems with. I also understands some "cuh Jia hua" and "tai yui". I went to school in taiwan from Preschool to third grade only, my dad wanted me to learn some of the language before bringing me back to the states.

I'm basically like quad lingual foo! hahahahah

Sorry I have to sound everything out, I can't type in traditional Mandarin.

My memories of Taiwan are very signifcant, I had an awesome childhood there. I remember the stores (fu-li shuh) at the Elementry school was crackin! You can get like everything there. My dad used to give me two 10nt coins everyday and I would be able to buy whatever I wanted. I usually buy something at the store and then quail eggs after school in front. Man that was awesome!

I remember this spoiled **** kid at school used to get 100 NT daily for allowance, she was the big baller of the class

danng old farts.. lol jk I am actually not that much younger than you'all, except I didn't have the luxury like you guys to come here that early. I was departed from Taiwan at the age of 12.. right after I finish 6th grade. My parents decided its either I stay in Taiwan and go to jail within like 2 years.. or GTFO there and come here so I at least have a chance lol. I wasn't exactly a good kid back in Taiwan.. haha nor I don't think I got any better after I came.. but overall, I am still glad I came tho.

Haha..I've asked myself that question too, I think I could have been in jail too if I didn't come to US.
