Roadtrip to Canada last week (Semi G related)

Thought I'd share a nice roadtrip I went out last week.. got back yesterday morning!

Night of leaving... Tape!!!

Took about 800 pics! Picked out a few to share..

Here we go...

Driving up, started at 3:30 am. ETA @ Hotel 3PM. (With stops at Niagra etc)

Most of the way up.. Heavy Rain.. Jen drove the first few hours, I had to put the shift light on 3200 to keep her to speeding in the rain! I couldn't sleep.. She was waay too crazy behind the wheel.

Most of the way through Upstate NY we were followed by a group of these guys.. The sound of 5 loud buzzing exhaust focus drivers... great time...

Lee hit it on the dot.. Got hassled pretty badly getting IN TO Canada.. Went as far as checking my registration and making sure everything matched!.. About a 30 minute stop there..

Just over the border, Niagra Falls Reservation Area and Park. Fun place..

Followed by going down to Niagra Falls to see the actual Falls on the Canadian side... Definately AVOID THE U.S. SIDE.. IT'S NOT AS GOOD!

Finally @ the Hotel.. Sheraton Centre Toronto. We lucked out and they got us a Cabana Room by the pool. Nothing really special, just average hotel stuff. They did have a really bad problem with bugs coming into our room (probably from the garden or something on our floor...

Unpacked, found a good garage across the street.. Then drove around exploring.. Went to Pacific Mall for dinner.. End of day.

Next day went to the Science Museum..

Later in the day, we met up with the G guys for dinner..

Waiting at the lot, a Red roadster pulled in and started talking to me. We checked out each other's rides.. He only had 6k KM on the odo..

A few pics of the G line up

A good show, 7 or 8 of us.. had Dinner and went to one of the local car hangouts.. a good turn out! G's consisted of a Greddy TT monster and a fully built n/a G.

Cars a pretty big around the city.. you can tell I like Porsches... some pics of em at the "hang out" The yellow one looked like he was 17.. seriously! lol..

Went out to Casa Loma.. Jen said it was definately walking distance and looked over the map.. Unfortunately she didn't read the scale right.. so we basically walked acrossthe city AKLSLAKSJDLASKJDALSKDJ. It was a good 3 hour hike... we did get to check out some parts of the city though..

Couldn't resist taking a pic of this meat truck lofl..

Vanity Plates are a big thing in Toronto.. Almost every car had one at Z fest.

Saturday night... Dinner at Niagra..

Cruised the strip before I left

Border to U.S.... Rainbow Bridge--

After the border, went off an exit to some random "Garden Hotel Resort"?? Started taping the front end again...

Got home in under ~7 hours lol... Roads were great.. nice cool night! Mostly no traffic. Average speed was 100-105.. Got up to 145 at one point, 6th gear boost is awesome up there! Got home around 4:30 am this morning.. I must say.. Nav and Radar are a MUST on roadtrips.. Will never leave home without them.

*Cruise control does not engage at 130 mph... The max is set at 95 mph =(
