i cut it to fit the air filter.... the procharger sits directly behind the brace, so a filter won't fit without cutting it. many procharger owners have cut a hole into the brace for this reason.

plus, i didn't cut all the way through the brace (there's still plenty of it connected underneath the filter)

Just because "alot" of people have done it doesn't make it right. This is how is SHOULD look

I suggest purchasing a new radiator support and modifying it correctly so you don't lose a lot of structural integrity like you've done there

trust me, i did not lose ANY structural integrity, and the car's handling was completely unaffected. Like I said, much of the brace is still connected under the filter. WITHOUT cutting the brace, the procharger would be open to dirt/particles/etc that would be very hazardous to the thin blades and the overall charger mechanism.

You can get a filter on there without chopping apart the radiator support as you've done. Even with your design, you could have left alot more of the radiator support material there for strength. You chose instead to chop off more than necessary to fit the pipe through

Here's a picture of the clearance... tell me how YOU would've put on an air filter without cutting into the brace?

Again, the radiator support goes down a LOT farther than what I've cut. Strength or structural integrity is literally a non-issue, so I don't see why you keep bringing it up. In fact, it's nothing compared to the sacrifices some people make for F/I (i.e. - removing the crash beam). My design delivers cold air to the charger (through the grille), allows easier access to the blades, and it allows me to easily clean the filter. And I've since cleaned up the edges with a dremel so it looks a bit better.

Anyways, sorry for going off-topic.... now lets see some sick silver G's!
