I ordered a seibon hood direct from Seibon and never recieved rain guards.. if you can prove you have seibon rain guards im calling Seibon today lol.. but seriously, there is nowhere to attach them.

^^ Not difficult at all.. I did the entire hood with just one other person but should be done with 3 people probably.. the hardest part is getting the other hood off since its like 50lb.. the cf hood from seibon, i have TS.. is only maybe 20lb max.. weigh next to nothing.. pop off the bolts, and take you maybe 3 or 4 tries to match up the lines perfectly on the hood.. then ur done.. bam! lol

I sold one before and there is no cover, how do I know that? Because I personally open the box to show the buyer. There is no old or new version. Carbon I think is important to see your product before you sell them.

all Seibon 350z TS hoods come with rain guards. I've sold over 30 and all have come with rain guards that can be removed by screws

G35 TS hoods on the other hand, dont.

If a cf hood is rice than so is out whole car. They are both from countries that have people making/eating rice so = rice, all of it. If you drive a g35 or any infiniti you are rice too.

lol

because the oem hood is aluminum and is already very light. trading the oem hood for a cf hood strictly for the purpose of saving weight is foolish. you'd be better off going on a diet. the savings in weight from a cf hood isn't enough to notice anything performance wise...that is until the hood flies open on you...then it'll hurt your times

hood pins = good idea people

exactly, and the reason the hoods seem to have a larger weigth difference is due to the way the weight is spread out either when lifting or holding from the center. If you took 2 lead ***** weighing the same as the stock hood and CF hood, I'll bet you won't be able to notice the difference.

Thumbs up

ok then since everyone seems to love flaming on this thread, i thought i was gonna be a nice guy and just say my opinion but people wanna flame that too, not sure if you have a CF hood or not and i really dont care but i did notice a difference in weight and thats all that matters so if you wanna call a carbon fiber hood RICE then go ahead but just think about the fact that your one of the few that think so.

when did i ever say a carbon fiber hood is rice? this thread, afterall, is my own. so i obviously have an interest in carbon fiber hoods for myself and will be damned if i rice my car out. thus, i don't think a cf hood is rice at all.

never did i say that you won't notice the difference in weight...i've had an oem cf hood on my car before, and i noticed that the cf hood was lighter han my stock hood while i was installing it. i'm just saying, the weight difference between the stock hood and a cf hood is not big enough to make a difference performance wise. shaving a few pounds won't do much for you performance wise.

seibon's main concern with carbon fiber hoods is for cosmetic reasons. shaving a few pounds is just a bonus, if you can even call it that.

btw - not only did i not refer to cf hoods as rice, only one person did...cnaman. so i dont understand why youre getting so defensive.

we all buy things for our own reasons..but most people realize there isn't much to gain performance wise from a cf hood.

misunderstanding on both our parts, it happens.

anyway, seibon mentioned something about not being able to make one...or some bs...

initially, i wanted to see if it was possible to fabricate a rain guard on my own.

but i'm over this now...moving on to other mods
