My engine is on FIRE!

Lol, With my SSV intake gone I needed some bling in my bay. I cut the stock engine cover up to show more of the motor. I wanted to shoot the inside black and outer part blue. I sanded primed then laid the colors down. I still thought it needed something! So I turned it over to my buddy in the shop. This is his 4th attempt at real fire flames. I think he did a hell of a job so I cleared it and stuck with it. Its not bolted down yet but I wanted to take some pics anyway.

very amazing paint job on their, but i dont think the orange flows with the blue. You should of had it done in blue flames, but to each is his own right?

Yeah I think the blue flames take away from the idea of fire. All in all I knew some wouldnt like it.

dont get me wrong i do like it...i just think the flow from blue to orange to blue doesnt seem to match right...i dont mind it at all. If i seen it at a show i would def take a picture or two.

Naw I hear ya. I just figured it was worth the sacrifice. Hes also learning how to do the other colors. But I dont get the other color thing. The idea of true fire to me is REAL looking as possible. Ive been on him to do these more and leave the other colors alone. That way he can get REAL good at them. Theres lot of money to be made out there with all the old guys and hot rods.

I agree with NismoG, blue flames would have been more to my liking, orange doesn't go with Blue that much, unless of course you're a Florida Gator fan like some of the weirdos that frequent these boards

Overall, I think few would argue that you do have the nicest coupe on these boards, hands down.

He did a great job with air brushing it, the flames look realistic but its just too cheesey for me. No thanks

Steve

That's some first class air brush work. Belongs on your car.
Happy new year!!
