There's no big secret. I used Photoshop to adjust the colors and brightness. Easy way is to copy the layer and change its mode to Screen. Then I just convert the pic mode from RGB to Lab Color mode and mess with the Curves there.
To lower it you just cut the car right above the wheels and then lower that layer back down until it looks somewhat realistic. Then you need to fix all the stuff that doesn't look correct like her legs. Yes, I'm sorry but I made your friend's legs shorter and made your muffler bigger.
