Richie Front Strut Bar installed

Yes I know you guys must be tired of seeing more pictures of richie's front strub bar, but I was excited. I just got my bar today, would have gotten it earlier but I was gone for the weekend. Shipped in 3 days, installed in 2 hours. There were some pesky nuts that were hard to get to and break loose. That was the only hard part.

I had to bend it longitudinally and laterally to get it to sit in the mounts. It was a really tight fit. It touches the hood liner when in the lowest position, but the hood is closes without deflecting so it should be ok. Overall good quality and pleasure to deal with richie. Feel free to ask any installation questions if you're too lazy to read them.

And yes i know i have a big nasty scrape on my front bumper from someone backing up into me while trying parallel park. I will be ordering the kuruma z bumper soon. MD MREV2, 5/16 iso thermal, and GT Spec chassis braces are also on their way.

It seems to me that the 5/16 spacer will be a tight fit when i install it. I will see if i can adjust the bar lower, otherwise i'm afraid i'll be losing my engine cover.

haven't tested it out yet. I expect it to handle turns tighter and be more stable over bumps, nothing extreme. I'll post my driving impressions tomorrow.

I have a 5/16 MD spacer and engine cover and the Richie bar fits. So....yes, it fits with the engine cover on. Just make sure to put it on the lowest setting though. I tapped it lightly to make sure it's in the lowest setting. I had it for over 2 weeks now and no problem with closing the hood either.

wow, that's great to hear. I think i'm one of the only people who actually like the engine cover and was only hesitant to get it because i didn't know if i could keep it.

if you can keep the cover with no rubbing or fitment problems then i just might have to get this.

So I took it over a few speed bumps this morning on my way to work. It definitely feels tighter and definitely flexes less. No more creaks as I go over speed bumps on one side. And there is noticibly less lean as I corner. This was relatively inexpensive and you definitely get benefits you pay for.
