^ it probably wouldn't be a good idea to just cap the hard pipe that connects to that hose going into the t-stat (potential for air pocket). probably better to cap and/or delete a few other lines, nipples, and possibly the OEM oil cooler/warmer if you wanted to do it right. the south florida guys have a thread on it here and on my350z.com.

A few people have asked me why I didn't go all out and delete some of the other hoses people have done in the engine bay.

I just wanted to delete the main hose that goes across the timing cover to show off the timing cover properly. The other hoses and lines don't really get in the way that much IMO and don't offer enough of a performance gain for trouble (and cost) of deleting them.

yup I deleted all the extra coolant hoses.. It's a cheap tho Marcus the HR themostat was like 30 bucks n all I had to do was weld the bottom part of the driverside coolant pipe on booth sides so u don't get air pockets

I get your point tho, there's no huge gains to it I just think it's cool to only have two coolant hoses left.. Car runs slightly cooler too since hot coolant won't be recirculating anymore

^Nice! Looking forward to seeing an updated pic of your bay. Others that have deleted all of the extra hoses have also done the pathfinder coolant mod, that was the extra cost I was talking about really. With the amount I was already spending on this latest round I didn't want to add anymore time and money.

true although the pathfinder mod is just over kill IMO.. All that work to the hard pipes just to cool the rear cylinders better doesn't make sense to me unless ur running FI

But I'll post pics once I'm done with mine.. Taking everything apart again to go with a blue chrome powder coat n polished theme.. after seeing urs my bay needs more bling ><

I deleted a lot of extra coolant lines it is a PITA one we welded had a pin hole leak what a night mare to fix it I dont think it is worth the effort I also pieced together my own pathfinder kit through nissan and saved some $$$. But i dont look at marcus's engine bay and think damn he needs to delete some coolant lines. LOL

I hid it, tucked under the coolant overflow...

still trying to figure out what I want to do for my alternate color in the bay... the gold/bronze isn't doing it for me anymore.
