^Lookin' good so far. Did you weld your coolant pipes or cap them off?

thanks. the coolant pipes are all welded. and i couldnt get anyone to weld the t-stat up in time before i put the new motor in so i just got some coolant bypass caps and stuck one on that nipple lol

You can use the hr t-stat it does not have a nipple. I actually drill and tapped mine with a plug.

Wish I knew about that when I did mine. I got a nismo tstat and put in a plug.

What temp is the HR 'stat?

ahh, interesting. lol never paid attention to the HR one although i do remember looking hard enough to notice they looked the same bolt-wise

Probably higher temp than oem since it doesn't have the extra nipple that recirculates hot coolant
