Recommended Tint Percentage?
I live in Massachusetts and our state tint laws state that you can only have 35% or higher tint on the front passenger windows. So my 2 options are:
35% on the side windows and then 20% on the rear window
(I couldn't find a pic of this setup)
OR
35% on the front passenger windows and 20% on the rear quarter panel and rear windows.
(I was able to find a pic and here it is):
(Thank you to the rightful owner of these pics. Don't remember where I got it)

What do you guys think? Option 1 would be clean in that everything would flow well or should I go with Option 2 where it would be a little darker in the interior, but it wouldn't flow as well.
I am going in tomorrow to the tint shop, so I need to figure it out now. Please let me know what you guys think. Oh yeah, I have a tan interior.

20% all around, or nothing.
In California, we can't have any tint on the front windows... period.
Yet I have gone almost a year without being stopped for 20%.
35% is too light.

So someone just told me that the G35s have stock tint already. So putting 35% tint on the windows will actually make it 28% supposedly. Is this true?
If I do go with 20%, how is it at night? I do not want to have any issues driving at night.

Do whatever the legal limit is up front and then do a darker tint in the rear, I did 15% in back and I think its a little too light. Maybe 5% would have been best.
I personally like 35% up front because its easy to see at night time, which is a lot more important to me than having pure black windows.
ps- You from clubrsx?

In MA, a tint ticket will cost you around 250 for the first offense, and a license suspension thereafter. IMO, it's not worth the risk, but it's your choice. Also, don't take recommendations from people in other states about the legality of tint!!! You'll also find that most places will not warranty their work if you go 20% because they know it's illegal and most likely won't even give you a reciept because THEY will get fined. If you want lifetime warranty without the risk of hassle from cops, go with the 35%. It'll look plenty dark due to the contrast with an IP exterior.
Thanks for your input guys. Tint will be installed at 2pm today
