damn! NICE vette! it's a classic... hot mama.

great polishing as well. got a few q's...
1. did you have a ton of swirls prior to the polishing?
2. which polishing compound did you use?
3. did you use an orbital or elbow grease?

looking so good i need the same results!

1. I thought it was tons of swirls, but I'm picky. Hood and trunk were the worst, which I guess is typical.
2. Used Menzera 106FF Polish with Edge 2000 blue pad to start. Didn't get swirls out, but I wasn't applying enough pressure after reading up some on the buffer. Next morning I used Edge 2000 orange pad with more pressure and followed up with Edge 2000 white pad. Same compound. Finished off with Menzerna FMJ.
3. Used a Porter Cable 7424 buffer. First time for me. Really easy to use. I can still pick out the random little spider web looking mark, but you have to look really close. Should come out next time.

Now trying to decide if I wan to go over it with P21S or not. Kinda like the wet look.
