Hey, well as you all know i detail cars for a summer job and im now documenting them and figured i'd show you what they all look like.

So heres the first car i did. A 2004 Ford Explorer. Full detail inside and out.

I did this one as well. a 1998 Mercedes E300 Turbodiesel. Full detail inside and out.

And heres two i did today. a Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer and a BMW X3 3.oi. Both cars just got basic washes.

what products are you using in your details?

Tutrle Wax ICE car wash stuff, invisible glass, meguiers tire shine, armorall stuff, megquirs wax, uhh, stuff?

i was just wondering if you were using over the counter stuff or the expensive stuff like Zaino, Griots or Menzerna.

Oh, alright, no, im not useing the expensive stuff. Im only charging $80 for cars and $100 for trucks and SUVs so, its pretty value based.

^What!!!! Wholey crap, that's alot for basic products! More power to you I guess if people are paying you that much though.

boutique products don't mean better results, detailing is about the process and not the product. I bet you $1000 that I can do a better detail with stuff I can pick up at my local napa then having the whole zaino lineup.

The stuff that i buy works pretty well and gives results people like to see. So yea.

I totally agree, i get a great shine out of my car when claying and using the Meguiars 3 step process. But the Zaino process will last twice as long.

yea Meguiars definitely adds a great shine...but the longevity sucks..Zaino is hands down more durable, long lasting, and efficient as you use dime sized portions per panel..been a zaino user for a while, but currently using meguiars nxt tech wax temporarily because it hides the swirls better and gives pretty glossy shine. For the winters, zaino is the only thing I'd put on my car although I will be trying the merenza products as well.

Anyhow nice job on the cars and hopefully business will be fruitful for the summer.

My only beef with the zaino stuff is its expensive, and with us not doing a lot of cars and not for high prices, it wouldnt bring in much profit.

you guys haven't tried meg's #21 synthetic sealant then. I get 4-5 months of protection out of it, and I reapply just because I like to, I've never seen it stop beading before. Just search on autopia.org about it, and it looks less like a "sealant" than zaino, and costs much less. Should be available in 16 oz sizes at your local napa, or they should be able to order it for you. Less than $20 a bottle.
