Saw the G37 today, here are some pix.... interior looks good & more power, but for the overall exterior design, I'm still not really impressed.

Lots of people like it in black, that's because it hides all the excess roundess in the front bumper (big smiley face & fake air ducts on the side).

- Bulbous lights, fender, front bumper, and hood
- Taillights and rear are awful, huge & triangular
- C-Pillar flows to the middle of the trunk ending at the chrome lip
- The trunk cut line tapers out & wide so it has all these wierd bulges/bumps all over the rear.

Where in the G35, it looks good from any angle.

Again, just my opinion.

Big o' taillights. Maybe they should put a "clearance" strip in the rear.




Squared off rear from this angle. You don't even get 2 complete circles on the brakes, the smaller one gets cut off.

I'm sure lots of people like it cuz it's a new design since there are tons of G35s everywhere since 2003.

It's natural to like something new and shiny.

If you like it, it's all you....

I'm keepin' my G35.





(Yes, I know my car is fixed up, so I can't really compare it to the stock G37, but once you get wheels, front bumper, & rear bumper for the G37, it'll still have all those bumps on the hood/headlights and the rear trunk/fenders will still be bulbous.)

Again... not hating on those who like the G37, these are just my personal opinions after seeing it in person.

i agree with you. i don't like the car b/c it's toooo round.

 

No test drive yet, it was only for display.

Others from the dealership agreed with me too... but you didn't hear that from me.... they still gotta sell em, which I'm sure will be no problem since its the new G in town.

You are right on John. I'll take my G over the G37 anyday. I don't like the subtle changes that they made. And I hate the new rear lights. They are hideous. I like the new engine and the way they have the Navi but that's really about it. But like you said, to each his own.

 

Take a look at the NON sport model...

Just like I dislike the SPORT sedans front bumper, I very much dislike the SPORT coupes front bumper...just ugly and bubbly like you state..

 

Yeah, I saw it... looks way better.... I wonder if they can use that as an option if you still want the sport model.

 

Dude, I'd take you're G over the G37.... look at all the mods you've got!

I'm soo on the fence btw keepin my g and this g37..Its true there are soo many g35's out today especially out here in NYC..I'm debating on what to do and I'm actually going to the dealer today myself to check out the g37.

Nice write up...The G37 has a lot of potential. I'm sure there will be a lot of sick looking body kits for it...I didn't like it at first but its starting to grow on me...I probably wouldn't keep it stock tho...
