You don't need to strip the paint if you want to make it darker. Just add about 3-4 layers of clear on top of the flat black and it will look like matte or low-gloss black easily.

looks nice. that's the way mine are too. I wish i painted mine gloss black though too. My rims are a gloss black like yours and i think a black gloss on the headlights would match better with my rims.

personally i did OB and matte black...the OB just isn't all that.
