What's the difference if I have permit? There are no jumpers or anything...

1) Will the rangers leave us alone...Probably not...
2) why didn't they bother us before?
3) If they actually read the permits and the instructions they can see our event doesn't fall into anything that is stated...
This is not a company event. There's no company...Where on the permit does it state anything about models or pictures?

There's an other section. ok...So, the models who was someone's GF needs to get an insurance policy to take pictures...Hmmm...That's seems kinda stupid don't you think? Well what ever. I'll see what the guy says at the permit department...
I'm in an industry that is riddled with regulations and compliance issues... what I have found is that generally people in a "paper-pushing" position don’t really care why the regs are in place. They don’t understand that there is a reason for certain "rules"... all they know is that if the basic criteria fit, they must enforce it.

This is unfortunate and I try to train people to understand the "grey areas" that do exist in most regulatory circumstances... as long as a good faith effort is being made to maintain the purpose of the rule/regulation, and the outcome of the situation adheres to the reason the rule/reg was implemented, then there is generally no problem.

What I see happening at this park is a bunch of regulatory crappola that none of the park administration or field level personnel want to address as a single issue - they want to lump our gathering in with the general guidelines... they will probably tell you that they are too busy to address individual needs so they follow the regulatory guidelines for everyone… in reality they are too lazy, or frankly not bright enough to address our issue as it pertains to the reason the rules are implemented.

To me it all reeks of paper-pushing laziness with no consideration for community gatherings in a county run public park.

Honestly, the best thing you can do is take your/our business elsewhere. They have made no effort to address the real issue... even though the "response letter" in an above post was relatively professional... it was a pass-the-buck approach to sweep our problem under the rug. Anyone that has dealt with city/county/state/federal level employees knows it's futile to bother. In many cases you have no choice but to use the bureaucratic system services... but in this case, there are lots of alternatives.

My advice is we should move on to a better venue - and if the topic comes up we each let it be known the BS that this park runs under.

We've all vented about what a lousy situation it was... so the release is done. I wouldn't waste anytime continuing correspondence with them though.

Just my .02

It can't be a nonsport bumper, the inlet ducts flare up on the sides rather than down like on the nonsport bumper.

They modified the ducts then, hence its no longer a nonsport bumper

Notice how the ducts flare in different directions?
