You dont have to mention it, how you stepped in and gave your s h i t a s s of an opinion says it all. Its obvious you have a internet ego. I have every right to be hard headed towards people like you. I cant stand people like you so i try not to affiliate myself with people like you. If you can't take criticism, maybe you should hold your mods more closely and only show them to your close group of friends that will offer opinions you appreciate.

As a bystander, your attitude has diminished any appreciation I had for what's under your hood. In the future, instead of pi$$ing into a fan and bringing something as trivial as another member's post count into an argument, maybe you could just say "I like what I like, and you like what you like" and call it a day.

The back-and-forth does nothing for YOUR credibility, and kills YOUR thread.

The mod looks good - if you're happy with it, then I'm happy with it - it's your money and your taste - do what you feel. That's what makes this country great. If I choose to not like it, don't take it so personal - everyone is entitled to their opinion. If you don't want to hear them - good and bad - don't ask.

 

 

IMHO, I like the concept of the SSV, and I think it looks bada$$ under the hood. I think you did a great job getting something different that you like, straying away from the "group norm". I went with Motordyne Iso Thermal spacer because I wanted the HP gain, but stock look. (easier to sell to car to ppl not interested in modded cars )

I say keep doin what you are doin, stay away from the norm.

 

I have this same plenum. I like the looks. I bought it for bling right now. I have a NA coupe. I noticed nothing different on sound. I don't care about the HP gains or loss, I just wanted it for the show circuit. I plan on using this for a later set up. Good luck with your mod and just make sure that they are done right.

I don't mean to pile on Hotel cuz you are a good guy but I have spoken to many tuners (some who are considered the best at what they do for VQ's) and they basically told me to stay away from this intake. If you are strictly looking for bling, then by all means, the Kinetix SSV is for you. It sure does look nice. But overall, this intake/plenum does little to nothing to increase hp. It may make your exhaust sound throatier but aside from that, it isn't doing much more. Believe me, I did TONS of research into this because I thought it would help me being FI. I found out quite the opposite. MD spacers and plenums are far superior to the SSV. It would have been cheaper overall and you would definitely see and feel a difference. Of course, MD spacers and plenums don't have the visual appeal of the SSV but functionally, they are far superior.

damn hotel, u need some anger management dude, getting all worked up over what people posting in a PUBLIC forum? you are always going to get positive and negative comments, dont let the negative comments get to you, dude! your ssv looks great, makes ur exhaust sound even better, as long as u happy thats all that matters! based on what i have read about this product with regards to price, functionality (in this thread, forum and elsewhere) imo-not worth it, to each their own

Oh ALSOOOO if you were looking for the "BLING" factor, why didnt you just get a polished plenum, IMO, it looks better than the ssv, witht he ssv theres too much open space to the drivers side....looks funky

 

I think the intake looks purdy. BUT I think my Holley Systemax II looks better... Oh wait... wrong forum...
