Gorgeous week in Houston

Believe it or not, Houston does have moments of brilliance when it comes to weather. This past week was nothing but awesome. Mid 70s for a high, low humidity, (relative to our standards) and not a cloud in the sky. Perfect car washing and detailing weather.

black roof overlay looks really awkward without tint, IMO.

Some people have works in progress... let's try to be positive.

The Bat's overlays look good - can't wait for mine to come in!

Yeah. For two years, I keep telling myself that I'm gonna get some tint on the car. I can never find the time to do my research on what kind of tint, and where to take it here in Houston. Any ideas? I don't want no cheap tint.

Don't know of any places in the Houston area in particular, but tint laws in Texas are some of the best in the country. They allow any tint you want in the rear and all side windows are legal with >25% allowed in. On my DG coupe 35% tint looks great, although I have the black leather interior, so 20% might look better with your lighter interior. I've read that our G coupes have a slight tint allowing 92% of light transmitted from the stock windows, so you'd be perfectly legal with 35% tint film and likely wouldn't draw too much attention with 20% tint even though it'd register between 18-19% light transmitted if it were actually measured.

Do a little asking around members on here from the Houston area and you shouldn't have any trouble finding a reputable shop or individual to tint your windows. I'd guess you could get it done well for around $150.

The car and Houston look great! Keep us posted.

Get some tints, and nothing less than 20%. Any tints at all, even 50% in the fronts, are illegal in Cali. But I have never gotten any problems for a year and a half for my 20%'s

The car looks good! I'm liking the bat tailight overlays more and more.

How much did the roof overlay cost and where did you get it done? It looks good!

take it to xpert tint on 59 and west belfort, they did my tint first day i got the car and other members cars too. ask for russell if you decide to go there; they use formula one tint and there's a lifetime warranty on it
