The "blackout" look is much more old and overplayed than gold.

Sorry, I just dont like gold. My grandparents got the gold kit on their LS460, and to me it ruined the car, to this day I am still trying to make them chane it, I even offered to do it for them at no charge.

 

I think it looks a bit tacky, but as long as you are happy with it then it's awesome.

ya but how cool would it be the first to pull of this style especially cause it might look a lot better in person. I just wanted to see what you guys would say before i went ahead and had my grill and chrome trim all painted gold along with my rims.

gold rims at most.. once you start adding the grill and the handles.. seems like your tryin to make a cadillac.. blacked out is definetly over played but all gold is just tacky on a G imo

 

well my point wasnt to make this a really good photoshop i just wanted to get an idea of what it would look like. maybe next time i will spend more than 2 minutes on it.
