95,000 miles and counting.
EDIT: REVIEW AT THE BOTTOM
I know there's other threads on this, but I just hit 95K on my G.
I know there isn't too many G owners with this many miles. I figured I would give her a good detail to make her feel newer! I gotta get my bumper repainted. I have so many rock chips from driving on the highway so much!!
It's an 03 BTW...

Current miles; 95,1XX
Car was purchased with about 53000 miles almost 2 years ago. If you wonder where I get all my miles from, it’s from driving from the Florida panhandle to South Texas every month or two.
Since I purchased the vehicle I have only given it Mobil 1 oil changes and filters every 4000 miles. I thought this was a happy medium for intervals given most of my miles come from the highway. Always put 93 in the tank, and for the past year or so, have been using Shell V*Power only.
Some of the discrepancies I have come across since I have owned the vehicle are:
- Brake pads wore unevenly, or dealer did not change out all brake pads at the same time / got them changed out; it might have been my braking as well
- Driver’s side window motor failed at about 93,XXX
- Gas door mechanism failed at about 80,XXX
- Abnormally fast steering wheel wear was apparent even when I bought the car; got a steering wheel cover for that
- Door handle covers scratch easy; gotta get some new ones
- Driver’s seat belt is very slow/ does not want to retract; started getting progressively worse after about 75,XXX// at the same time, sometimes the holder and seat belt latch also interfere with the door closing
- Driver’s side seat is obviously worn but has developed slight tear near the recline lever
- Driver’s side window makes small squeal when door closes as it comes up to make full closure
- SOFT PAINT!! My bumper and front part of my hood are SHOT from driving so much on the highway, oh well, I’ll probably have them both repainted for x-mas or something
- Rear camber is horrible! Gotta buy a camber kit just to give my tires some kind of life
- Rear leather panels above armrest started coming off/ maybe due to heat or humidity
- Clock LED and driver’s side heater seat LED have gone out/ too lazy to have replaced them just yet
- I had to replace a flat and in the process, the metal bar that is inserted in the jack hole started to bend
I did get a little out of hand one night and ran over a curb (OUCH!). My right muffler tip is a little bent and the bottom is a little scratched up. I also made an idiot of myself and graced one of the poles at Sonic, scratching my front driver’s side fender (more OUCH!).
That is what I have gone through with my car that would be outside the normal wear and tear on the vehicle (tires, rotors, wipers, fluids). Other than that, I love the Bose sound. The car still handles great. It goes and stops when I need it to, and I keep her clean as much as possible!
HAVE A NICE DAY!!!!
