Oh, and for you fellas that like to build motors, one of the highest-powered modified LSx platform FI cars: Holden Ute (same as GTO, but Australian model) with a built LSx 383ci TT setup from Active Automotive in Australia made: 1,895 rwhp

Pay no attention to the haters.....not everybody here thinks the G35 is the only nice car out there.....Everybody is entitled to their opinions.

Nice Goat......My neighbor has one, upgraded with some flow thru cats, stainless exhaust etc.

I can hear his car coming over two blocks away.....nice deep rumble out the tail pipes....

Your car has so much potential......good luck with your upgrading...

Thanks for the "nice" comments, its good to hear that there are some "real car guys" out there that can appreciate different cars. Comparing a G to a GTO is an apple to an orange...two very different animals. However, people are very surprised at how well the car is put together, as well as its fit and finish. We can thank GM's Australian division for that.
Its interesting to hear the opinions on the Thruxtons, since I always get huge compliments on them.
My car sounds pretty wild and unique since I am running headers, no cats, an x-pipe and stainless magnaflows. With this setup I am putting down almost 400hp to the wheels.

...Until the road gets twisty Not really a fan of the GTO's styling and handling. But its definately a powerful car. But then again, its not power that's the issue with most cars these days. It's the ability to handle. Sadly, only few American cars are exempt from being stereotyped as having the typical inferior American handling (the obvious American supercars).

PS. I just noticed how long the wheelbase of the GTO is

Just wondering if you've driven one hard. I've owned both and driven both on REALLY curvy, bumpy Virginia backroads, and my '07 G with rear active steer can't even compare to my old GTO around a curve. It really is like a night and day difference.
