If this is a 245/30 on a 10.... would it be too much stretch on an 11?

^ those are achilles though, as you said you've heard some horror stories.

I wouldn't say too much, but a true 245/30 would probably be more suitable.

Old tires were 235/30 right? why not try a 225/35?

Old tires were 235/35. I posted in the sedan section about some findings. Was talking to the shop I get my tires from and they said several of the Platinum VIP guys run the Achilles with no problems and that they stretch well. What I found before was people saying they've heard of people running into problems stretching them and others vouching for them. It was a bit of both and it wasn't recent either. Model of the tires wasn't provided either. The tires are inexpensive as sh*t so I figured it's worth a shot. Basically a new set of tires can cost me in the ball park of the <400 range including mounting and balancing (for 4 tires, but for now i'm just getting the rears).

They also are rounded so it will help me with the clearance. Having heard some big guys in the game run these tires helps alot over reading it on some forum.

If the platinum VIP guys are running them I'd trust them, they stretch some retarded ****.

I agree on the cheapness, even I can get a set of 4 for like $600.

I can't remember if they run small or true? I know they don't run large. If they run true I'd gte the 245/30 if they run small 255/30 (hopefully they make that size)

That's the thing, it's hard to tell. I mean that 245/30 seems like it might be more of a stretch than my 235/35 on the 11, so since Vivek's is on a 10 then I'm stretching each side by another 12mm or so. Quite a bit. I'll see if I can find a pic of mine for comparison. But it also makes it more difficult since the Achilles are more rounded.

Here's the only two I got right now at the moment...don't feel like looking through my photobucket right now.

And the achilles again for quicker comparison.

Front 19 x 10 et -2 235/35/19 -4.3 camber(that's the camber plate maxed out)
Rear 19 x 11.5 et 15 275/30/19 -3.5 camber

Now that's how an M3 should be fitted.
