Aggressive Wheels & Stretched Tires: Post 'Em Up! [[Some NSFW]]
There's no way you're going to shred your tires on the smallest bumps with tires like the ones in your pic. If they were more like the ones below....then yes. Been threw a few because of that.
I think you can go with a lower offset (or spacers) and a little more stretch and it will look more aggressive.

And yes, i know i could go with a more aggressive offset and stretch the tire. I'm not complaining about my lack of fitment, i'm just defending myself against the guy that said domestics shouldn't be fitted.
Elvis is a perfect example of how it can be done, and done well.
but no one doing fitment think it's "cool" to have any of the above, the whole idea is riding low with a nice set of well fitted wheels the rest are the consequences but yet you seem to point to those consequences as some sort of goal of fitment, which is simply not true

We all deal with the same issues being low, and just because one platform is different from the others doesn't make it wrong.
I get more **** from Cobalt owners than any other community haha. If i gave half a rats *** about what people thought of my car, it wouldn't look the way it does. The amount of work into my car is hard to appreciate for someone that doesn't own a cobalt, since most of it is not visual.
well there is another issue, wanting to do stance, doing it half assed and then coming back with some sort of argument for a more functional look. The two rarely go together but yet is an argument that many fall back on in defense of their fitment. If you want to do functional more power to you but shreding tires and functional is hardly a combination. So far domestics have not really looked right simply because the person doing them hasn't quite fully grasped the idea of what fitment is or cannot make up their mind about what they want from their car. But before you go getting butthurt this isn't an attack on you just that domestics tend to look more awkward stanced than other platforms

If that's how i came across, then i apologize. I was just saying that domestic or not, fitted is fitted. My setup is not aggressive as most, but i prefer the more functional look.

What are the fenders like? There's always something to do about them. It's just a matter if the owner is really willing to. I did whatever I could to make coupe offsets fit my sedan....then went crazy and pushed the limits to where coupes wouldn't run the same offsets...I'm just crazy like that. Or was at least.
Doesn't change the car....
And I've seen the inside of the fenders on the cobalt, what are you trying to say?
I agree against the defense of domestic cars shouldn't be fitted, but your car really isn't.... so you're defending your friends, not yourself.
