Some have a weaker sidewall or different type of sidewall that makes it easier to stretch. Stretching an Achilles tire is easy. It runs on the smaller side too. I had a 215/35 Achilles on a 9, and it was a decent stretch...not what I was used to. Before I had a 235/30 and a 225/35 on a 10.5 (more true running tires...Hankook).
I'm on nankang ns-ii, the other member I asked had the same tires too. My tire shop can usually stretch my tires on no problem, so I'll be able to run a 215? I'm not down to be stranded on the road lol

Oooh...sorry, you just reminded me. My fronts were Nankang NS-II's on the 9. Rears were 235/35 on a 10, Achilles. It'll stretch fine. Although my passenger side got messed up somehow. Not sure exactly what happened but it bubbled up very bad. May have hit a pot hole, but with a more aggressive stretch I didn't have a problem. Coulda been the type of wheel (OEM 7 series) as opposed to what I had before (Work Varianza T1S). Maybe the different design of the wheel made a difference, or that I had a step lip on the T1S. I've got a friend that was running a more aggressive stretch on the Nankang NS-II's and he had no issues at all. They lasted a while too. But yeah, you'll be able to stretch it no problem.

Here's some pics of the Nankang 215/35 on the 9" wide wheel.

Oh, Ive seen you at the burbank meet once, with the stripper pole right? Cool ill try to get a 215 and see how that works. The 245 stretch looks nice om the rear, but the 225 on the 9 looks not stretched enough. Im trying to go really aggressive on my g37 without going air ride just yet. not too many people have gone really aggressive on the 37s except 2c and stoof. Whose got a reputable person to roll the front fenders??

Thanks Danny...too bad I never got to finish the setup, dial in some positive camber and lower the front and rear some more. Oh well. I'll be back soon, hopefully.

Yep, that's me. If you're in the 818 area, hit up Shane (ShanesG). He rolled mine when I first got OEM 19's and slammed it and rolled it some more when I got my Varianza's, but then I went ahead and had them hammered out since the roll wasn't enough and I really need to get the rear fenders out.

It's pretty much stock now. Doesn't even fit in this thread. Had to raise it up a little because I had problems with the car not starting, couldn't get on the flatbed. Got OEM 17's painted black. Only got the curtains and the mink inside. Took out the pole. Car looks like just another G35 you'd find in Glendale lol, but lower. Had some $ problems so I had to sell pretty much everything I had, body kit, wheels, visors, some audio...sucks but had to make sacrifices.
