I have Boxers also. It's impossible to stay mad at them because they really want to please their pack. It's a personality of their breed. Very sensitive to a persons mood also.
I drive a 2004 S55 AMG, pretty sure my boxer would have avoided me when I got back to the car.
The reason I'm writing is about the perforated seats. The way to get debris out of the holes is with a fairly damp/wet rag. You have to whip the seats with the cloth. With some practice and patients it's possible to clear all the holes by aiming the impact to the area just next to the holes that need cleaned out. Each whip will clear about an 2 inch radius if done proper. Works great for removing conditioner also.
I have to say I never tried to get Science Diet out of my seats but I'm sure it would work.
