How did the install on the tails go for you?
Any issues?

Mine are shipping out to me tomorrow and I'm excited to get them on, but there are more than a few horror stories on these.

I've applied more than my fair share of vinyl decals, but nothing on this kind of multi-contoured surface.

For starters, give yourself LOTS of time.. dont attempt it at 9:30pm like I did cuz I was so excited to put it on.. By the time it was 12, I only finished the 2 reverse lights and one of the tails.. I gave up and worked on the other tail the following morning. You will need a cutter to cut away the extra overhangs on some parts because some parts of the reverse lights do not have grooves where the extra vinyl can go into. Also, it might be too much material also to put into the grooves.

What I personally found helpful was having an extra person come help you. I know many ppl have installed it by themselves and it is very do-able.. but it is easier to have the extra hand. My dad actually helped me out. As I pulled and stretched and pressed on the overlays, he hair dryered the parts I was working on.

Pretty much anything I can say is already well explained on the DIY's that will be provided or what you may have seen on the internet, but what I am gonna say is, on the tails... when you have placed the overlays on the tails accordingly, I would work on the upper part of the tail before I begin working on the bottom part.. I found that much easier. So if you were to divide the tails in half, get the upper portion done first before you work on the bottom part. What took 1.5 hrs on the 1st tails took 45 mins on the 2nd tails for me.

Take your time. No horror stories need to happen for you. Just read the DIY's.. and "JUST DO IT". =)

Oh yeah, one more time, I also found using my thumbs to press on the overlay was much more effective than using a card wrapped in cloth. I used the card during the initial application to get rid of the water and stuff, but during finer applications, I had to use my thumbs heavily to press on the overlays.

i like the stock look better, the overlays look too much like overlays, and makes the taillight look faded.
