Nah.. there's no gap.. I saw it in person at Cupcake Meet 10.. That's where that was shot.. I also have the same trunk.. Mine fits well too.. There is a way to make them fit better as well..

Sorry, the G looks good I don't like the tints...the led grid section being untinted looks odd IMO, but truely this is for the SEXIEST not the stockiest.
