Custom True 3K HID Driving Kit in Sport Bumper

Okay. So, I have been researching the heck out of possibilities for a upgraded fog kit for our cars. Well, given the fact that our OEM fogs suk, I have embarked on a mission. A mission to have a TRUE 3K HID Projector kit custom fabricated into the front lower sills of the Sport bumper. If you have followed my custom grille thread, you know I don't mind spending a little money to get what I want. Sometimes you have to pay to play hommies!

So far, I have pics of the kit I will be using - Hella Micro DE Xenon Driving Kit (Tirerack - $704 to my door). Expensive you say. Yep! Wourth it, we'll see. The kit is complete. I will let you check the specs: http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/...o_de_xenon.jsp.

The kit comes with a set of 4300K D2S Projector bulbs. I thought to myself. Self. Why not blow even more money on a new set of 3K bulbs. Aparently myself thought it was a great idea. So, I set out in search of a set of 3K HID D2S bulbs. Damn the search was tough! I kept coming up with kits, and not stand-alone bulbs. I did find that McCullough and Philips has a true 3K Xenon D2S bulb. Sweet! Long story short, I decided to go with the Philips to stay consistent with my 6ks. Aparently they are only sold in Japan. Well, I spoke with my man IvoryGT who hooked it up! The cost, a measley $200. Is anyone thinking what I'm thinking. I know right. I'm hungry too.

Pics of Philips 3K Xenon Ultinons:

So, there you have it! This project has turned out to be a little pricey. However, I think the look (and performance; oh, with no glare to oncoming cars) will definately pay for the money invested.

Inspiration was driven by the Spec Le Mans kit (Bellof) as seen here:

That kit is a direct buy from Nungan Performance: http://www.nengun.com/bellof/spec-le-mans, and would take forever to get here, not to mention the cost would be well over $1K. Even I look for bargains!

^well it'll be easier fitting them in a fake mesh grill than a real one lol
at least the sport bumper doesnt have much of the fake grill. half of the journey bumper is fake mesh lmao
thats why i just bought a sport bumper

Regarding fitting in the 'fake' grills, we measured before ordering. For the most part, you won't see 98% of the kit as this will obviously be hidden in the backside of the bumper. Also, still playing around with the idea of molding it in so it doesn't stand out as much. We'll see. Not sure how much that will run me.
