The bar doesn't go anywhere... even under load, the rod is not going to pivot drastically on the rod ends. Plus the fact that the ends pivot in all directions, makes the way they are mounted (vertically or horizontally) irrelevant since you'll get roughly the same range of motion either way once they're mounted in such tight brackets. Once the bar is set in place and preloaded, there is very little movement if any.

The reason for the rod ends (besides the fact that they allow for preload adj.) is for the fact that some cars may be have slight variations in strut tower location due to manufacturing tolerances or slight damage from an accident. The original design did not include rod ends, and was a solid end with a single hole for the bolt that attached the rod to the bracket. I've tested both versions, and have not noticed any difference between the 2 setups. The new version is just way more adjustable.

I don't know more to say, we've tested it in numerous cars on and off the track, and have noticed increased performance in the cars handling and rear stability.
