From Infiniti To Subaru

Not a G of any sort, but I figured I would share my G35 replacement.

2007 STI
Stage 2 Protuned
Dyno

PS. I am not a professional at taking pics, so don't be that harsh.

Nice car! Looks like the passenger front fender has been re-painted. Did it have a clean carfax??

That color looks like that in different light, I know, the front and rear appears to be different colors. I have seen other cars the same color, and they all look the same.

Here are some other cars the same color:

Perfect example:

Indeed I am alive, thankfully.

The power is pretty amazing, took awhile to get used to AWD. Launching is without question violent, a sick experience. The change was partly due to the money to power ratio. You can get way more bang for your buck with this car over something NA in the same price range. Weather played a small factor, considering I rarely drove my G in the winter. Though I love my STI, I can't take away the beauty of a G. Looks wise, they just aren't even in the same league, at least I am man enough to admit that.

Post some pics. I see you have an FXT too, any mods? You should convert it into a Forester STI.

Nice. How's the low end power/torque vs the G? I've always wondered about this

Here are some pics of it..

The FXT is an auto and my husbands daily, we have gone back and forth on making it into a FXTi but not sure yet. The only mods to the FXT are a stock STI catback- which we put on yesterday, painted chrome on the front grill, debadged and mild audio. We have our RS project so I think we are just going to focus on that for now.

I also had a stage 2 ProTuned 08 WRX Hatch, which I sold for my G35. Before I had that I had an 05 Legacy GT 5MT Wagon, stage 2+ Protuned as well. I had Tim Bailey tune both of those cars, he is a great guy.

In my LGT Wagon, when it was at stage 2+ I was putting down 260whp and 310wtq. When you would take off under medium/heavy acceleration it would push you back in the seat pretty hard. I would say that a stock STI puts down around the same numbers so I think it would give the same effect. Compared to my G, I think the Subie had a better initial torque and feeling of torque but it did die off whereas the G isn't so harsh at first but it is more consistent throughout the powerband.

Low end is basically "slow end" till around 3.5k, then boost hits, oh boy.

The G felt faster in the lower end compared to the STI, but like I said, once you hit full boost, it's game on.

NismoGirl2001, that is one sexy RS. Is that a full STI conversion? Btw, do you need any STI goodies? I have some parts I may look to sell.

Thanks, it is a JDM V5 RA ej207 motor with a vf22, PnP heads and a 3" turbo back and PowerFC for engine mgt. The inside is v7 front and rear seats/carpet and a v3 Nardi wheel. The suspension is all upgraded along with the brakes. The tranny is the last part to change out and is still the stock RS trans which blew 2nd gear back in April So this winter/spring it will be getting a new trans either PPG's or a 6MT not sure yet.

What suff do you have? My hubby is looking for spring/strut take offs and a rear sway bar.
