Trying out a few shots with the new D90

I feel they came out kind of grainy... What do you think. Any advice???? So many settings to play with.... I am not happy at all with the results

I shot in JPEG with shutter priority of 1000. I dont know why they are grainy. This sucks.

I did not try full auto. Just shutter priority.

I'd try raw. Maybe the processing on the D90 is causing it. and if it still shows up on Raw. It's your lens. oh...Almost forgot. The ISO needs to be turned way down , don't know if it's left on Auto when it's in shutter priority. Most the time high iso is the reason.
