This is a sad day for the SDG's. Our buddy Mike, aka MWSCIRCLE got into an accident this morning. It was pouring here in SD (believe it or not), and Mike lost control of his car. Mike had just replaced his front tires the day before, and was leaving work early today to have new rear tires installed. At the time of the accident Mike's tires were absolutely bald.
When Mike was on his way to work, literally one block away from his office, he shifted gears, which caused his back end to step out (due to the rain and an aftermarket clutch), he then corrected the slide, but that correction turned into snap oversteer, sending him over the curb and into a San Diego Gas and Electric power box. THANKFULLY Mike is okay. The accident did cause a number of businesses to loose power. The accident was probably caused in part by a sand company down the street, which has been attributed to a number of accidents due to hazardous conditions created by sand accumulating on the street.
I spent the day with Mike getting the car back to his house, parting out his car, since we believe his car is totaled, getting Mike a rental car, and finding immediate buyers for the parts coming off his cars. I believe the only thing left to sell is his HKS exhaust, which has been removed and is available NOW.
Here are the pics:
He's going to purchase a 911 now, so don't feel too sorry for him....
