<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/yXEjz46VA5o&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/yXEjz46VA5o&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
So i bought megan racing resonated test pipes a while ago and thought it had a little too much rasp for my taste, and wanted to do something. I basically bought heat wrap for headers, people usually use these to wrap dirt bike headers to stop the heat from burning their legs. After using these for about a week i can honestly say that it helps out with the rasp drastically. My guess is the test pipes are so light it and thin it rattles alot under WOT, so by adding the wrap it absorbs alot of the vibration, so you dont hear the rattle out the end of your exhaust. My exhaust is definitely sounds lower then before, kinda like high flow cats with a higher flow. I would say its definitely worth getting if you dont like the sound of test pipes but dont want to spend alot of money on high flow cats. Just thought id share because i seen alot of people on the internet asking if wraping the test pipes help, and id say it does. The best part was i wrapped it while the test pipes were still on the car. very easy to do. ill load videos soon.

I recently bought a set of Megan Racing V2 test pipes. I wrapped them with thermal wrap as well, but I haven't gotten the chance to put them on. I have a few questions though:
I'm asking because my car is an '04 and I'm not sure if these test pipes need non-foulers because the O2 bung looks long/extended out enough, but it doesn't hurt to double check. Thanks.
- Are these the Megan Racing V2 test pipes with the flex pipe?
- Do they throw a CEL on your car? What year is your car?
- Did you use non-foulers?
