Ive just always wanted one for the summers and maybe to take it down to the Jersey shore on weekends. But yours is very nice any pictures of it with the mods you got listed?
I get about 40 mpg. I ride for pleasure, never commuting and I've got a mod list for mine (see above).

Good luck with your search. Take the safety course, then find a bike! You took driver's ed before you started driving and a bike can really dangerous depending on how you ride.

Thanks for the advice bro. Mind me asking if that is your first bike. I was told for a first bike you should start off with a low cc. I dont want to do that because I dont want to have to buy a bike to learn on and then another once I am comfortable. Plus the higher cc bikes always look alot cleaner then the low cc ones. I was thinking about a 600 most likely a gsxr600. I will most definitley be taking a safety coarse and taking all the precautions before hand.

Very nice bike BTW I really like how the tailpipe comes through the middle under the seat. I am not to fond of those bikes with the huge canisters on the side.

This is a + for the 08+ GSXR600s. If you are really concerned about giving it too much goose while learning to ride, you can put it on a lower power setting (A B or C) which retards the power and keeps the bike quite a bit more tame.

And +1 to the safety course!
And +1

I was told that too. Yes it was my first bike. As long as you can respect the power of the 600, it should be fine. If you want to get a learner bike first then do that. Whatever you decide, know that stupid kills. Doesnt matter what size engine is between your legs.

Purchased new in March 2006 and I've put about 9600 miles on so far. Not bad for Washington...
