This is so amazingly true.

Man, to tell you the truth ivoryGT, when I first read comments like this that you made, i didn't understand it. Back then I was a complete lighting newb and was asking you seriously the dumbest questions ever. But you were kind enough to answer me anyway lol.

Having almost finished (after monthS) my very first projector retrofit... all i can say is holy crap man, so much is involved in these projects that people really do have NO idea about!! There is SO much trouble involved. Especially since it was my first time, i ran across so many problems to solve. Even in the end though, knowing I could do it again 10x as fast, there are just so many parts and components involved to do it correctly. That adds up fast in terms of $$!! By the time you add it all up, then consider what it sounds like people are willing to pay... you'd be making like less than minimum wage for labor!! (at least I would... maybe i work slow? lol) but like E_K said, i def understand how it probably ended up becoming "work" for you guys not a "hobby". Hell, it pretty much became "work" for me and this was just my first try!

My point is, to anyone that has NOT COMPLETED a mod like any of this before.... get out there and try it! It's so rewarding at the end, and you will have a better understanding of the overall amount of work and craftsmanship involed in projects like this! woot woot!

off topic, my project was 4x g35 proj w/ clear lens, 4x color mods, 4x philips 85122 CM, g35 shrouds for bottom set of proj, black housings w/ chrome rings. i went back and forth for a long time on my ideas for parking lights and eventually abandoned them but will revisit the lights come summer with my new idea.

Probably so. When I was talking about the Audi lights, that was on my mind, not really referring to yours in any way.
