Pics look great even with dirty car LoL! I have a set of AB800 AlienBees if I can just get use to using them...I only have two though I need a 3rd one and some PocketWizards and it would be soooo much nicer!

you only need two. i could have gotten away with using 2 for sure. i should have got more creative with the third. but it was my first time out with everything and i have much to learn.

you still working w/ the same setup? I just worked a deal to get the 550ex and I already have a 430ex II. Was wondering if you'd shoot this the same way, or if you've learned some new techniques.

same basic concept. usually put the stands higher and closer...around 9' high and 8' away. one at each wheel and third at front or rear.

Any new shots since this one w/ your setup?

Like I said, I'm just getting started w/ the ON camera flash as well, so just trying to find out what works.. I've been shooting for a while, but always shied away from using flash. Now I'm ready to make the leap.

I was way impressed with the lights at the sedan photo shoot! Pro-style FTW

But more importantly, what are the offsets of your wheels?...

Thanks, Mike.

9.5" +17 front (but currently running 15mm spacers, so an effective offset of +2)
10.5" +24 rear
