Custom ****
So, on my second last day of work, our CNC guy finally completed the **** I asked him to make me some time ago.
It's modeled after the rare NSX Type S ****, but with a flared add-on for our shiftboot. The bore length and diameter are exactly made for the G35 shifter, and the flare was designed to match the boot. It's made of 316 Stainless, and it has a good heft to it, heavier than the Nismo **** for sure, but lighter than the Tommy Kaira.
Here it is:
I also had my Nismo **** refinished some time ago, as the finish on it got scratched up by my ring. It used to be the chrome one, but now it has a brushed finish, very similar to my custom ****. It looks a LOT better in person, and is a great match to the interior aluminum.

I would, but the prototype was finished the day before I got laid off
IMO, there's two types of shifters people like, the ball type, and the stick type. I can't stand ball shifters, and the way it fits in my hand is just perfect. It makes the car a lot more pleasant to drive for me.

the stick type is best for 1-2 shifts, i used to have a mugen stick type **** on my rsx....i loved it, but sometimes it was a pain getting into 3rd.
right now on my G im using a ball (arc). Its more all around, but the 1-2 shifts arent as cool as my mugen.
