Are you trading in your G just to be able to say you drive a R33?

Is there really any other reason?

why dont you find one in the states for sale that someone already imported and went through the whole legalization process. One comes around every now and then. I would not rush into this.

As i remember, r32 and R33 were crashed tested and are perfectly legal and passed all the requirement by DOT and NHTSA but you have to get all the paper work and other things from them directly.

Of course there is another reason. I don't brag about what kind of car I drive or how much money I have or how big my house is, etc. I am buying this because it has always been a dream car of mine but I never knew how easy it was to get one imported. Now that I have found out I want to go further into my research and see I need to do to make it happen.

^love rich's car.

that white r33 is nice too.

sounds like you dont know what you're getting into. best just sticking with your g. after all the problems with most of the skylines in the states being illegal, not worth getting into it. hell im pretty sure rich might have gotten screwed with that whole deal as well.

you can reg it as a kit car if it comes in pieces, more $$$!!! don't do it, it's a money pit... then the mods are CRAZY expensive, even in Japan, let alone stateside. the only way this may be worth it, is if it's already modded to a level you like(stock is slow) and you only plan on having it as a track car. otherwise you'll end up coming out a pocket a lot of money, until you finally get fed up and try to sell it here just to break even.

I don't think you have a clue what you're getting into.

You say it's your dream car yet you don't even know what model that is. And still you're willing to sell your G and give someone you don't trust $12k+ without knowing anything about the car or what it'll take to make it legal.

Basically, I found someone, a company, that imports cars from Japan to America. I really want this but I don't know if this company can be trusted, and I don't really trust buying a car sight unseen. I'm a little confused with the whole thing, but I REALLY want to do it.

No, this is in Japan.

I agree, I don't know to much I've just been following it for a while but I never really knew the differences between r32-r35. I didn't really know because I never thought I could buy one, now that there is a possibility of me getting one, I am doing much more research.

By the way, I found out this is a true GT-R, not a GTS or what ever the other ones are. I also found out a lot of useful info about importing, I will post a write up in a few min, but it will be in a new post so people don't have to read the whole thing.
