people make mistakes. i'll admit, i've been a dumb a$$ drag racing once or twice when i was younger. it's sad that sometimes it takes accidents like this to realize your own stupidity.

^^ agree as well. I used to do stupid drag races down 19th ave in SF... do stupid weaving through traffic... luckily I didn't get into any serious trouble, but I know a few people who have...

Glad that they're alive, sad that the passenger had to pay the price and hopefully EVERYONE learned a lesson...

reminded me of the M5 crash in florida. In the investigative report they wrote that the driver had overdriven his headlights by traveling at a minimum of 120mph.
These two really are lucky to be alive...

^+2.

I read the article but it doesn't get into details. Although, it says drugs and alc were not involved and NYPD do not think it was street racing.

^ some of that is political Im sure. Like Igor said, they only block off the area but didnt really enforce the area. So admitting that they were openly street racing will only raise more issues with NYPD not pertaining to the case.

^pretty positive the 'innocent' had a little influence in the dumb decisions. I know for a fact that my friends like to pressure me into haulin' *** (i dont ever because i cant afford tickets lol)

So its not like hes just some kid sitting their going "Dont go fast, im scared" Instead, more than likely like this "Quit being a *****. You gonna let your bro beat you?!!?!?!"
