Ugly G35's
No the reason our cars value is dropping like a rock is b/c Infiniti can not get their sh*t together. There have been so many TSB's on our cars and other Infiniti's that it is ridiculous. My wife has a Qx56 and there have been at least 8 TSB's that I had to drive to Greensboro to get checked out, not including the front brake rotors that were too small for the beast and had to be replaced b/c the front rotors warping after only 40k miles. Then the a/c unit had an issue, with the G, you have the burning oil issue, small brake rotors on all except ones with factory brembos, the clutch is not very good, oh and the tranny is definitely a piece of work. It is almost like the whole Bill Gates thing were he comes up with a new Operating System and before he gets the bugs out, he sells it to the masses and then all the sudden oh, you need to update a hundred times. This is why the value of our cars is dropping, my wifes Qx56, Jesus, you do not even wanna know how much money I have lost on that thing......paid $47,000 almost 3 years ago, worth about $27,000 now, that is $20000.00 in a little under 3 years....HOLY SH*T, I never thought of it like that, but FVCK! It is funny guys talk about Honda's on here, you can pick up a 10 year old 240SX up for about $2000, in decent shape, but a 10 year old Honda Accord coupe or even a Civic is going for $5000 to $6000. Talk about holding value. Just like when the magazines were doing the build an engine with the most HP, Skunk2 did an EVO engine, "Dr. Charles" of Skunk2 had just finished putting the cams and stuff into the EVO engine, he grabbed part of shaft and shook it around, he laughed and said, "you never, never see that much movement and looseness in a Honda engine, even one with 200k miles." It is all in the way the engine was built.
Oh well I only owe like $12000 on the thing. I put down lots, I sold cars for quite a few years and my mother is the president of lending at my financial institution, so I know a few things about buying a car and not making yourself upside down (where you owe more than the car is worth) in a car. I am not crying just explaining why our Infiniti's are not holding their value. I still love my G and my Qx, with the Qx there isn't a SUV out there that can even compare it to. My g, well I bought it b/c I loved the style of the car and the fact that it had a v-6 that would run with some v-8's. I love smoking Mustang GT's around here, for some reason everyone around here thinks that stang gt is the fastest thing around, my 14 year old son says at school all the kids are like mustang gt is the best, they do not even know what a G35 is.
