you made your gas cap flush with your current panel?

wouldn't your kit go over that and raise the panel a little making gas cap sink in a little and possibly collect water?

If you look at the pics that is why I made the cap a little high to compensate for the thickness of the fiberglass. The gas cap is all sealed with a rubber o-ring to keep water out.

I have gutted most of the car, now it is time to go all the way, airbags and all are coming out asap, so that I can start welding this baby in.
