Here its the passenger side with the gas door shaved.


Matt Hotch gas cap, up/down position. Took a long time but the quality was very high.

haha damn you. I remember you putting up a teaser but i dont feel like digging for it lol. If I remember correctly they were all black step lips.

no step lips this time, I tried but no one could make a steplip big enough. I got a quote of 10k for the rear lips because they would have to make new tooling.... So I didn't go that way to say the least.

really?

What do you mean fiberglass?

I'm talking about smoothing out all those areas around gas cap and others.

You be using fiberglass to do that?

Wouldn't it be more likely to crack than bondo?


Long time ago I worked at the Port of Seattle, I use to repair damaged shipping containers. And one of the materials I used to repair some of the damage was some sort of marine bondo that usually used on boats. It's a bondo mixed with fibers. Amassing product. Easy to work with just like any other bondo and does not crack because of the fiberglass fibers in it.

Around the gas cap, I still need to grind the metal down somemore along with feather the fiber glass edge down, but I will be using duraglass there. The body kit is made of fiberglass and will be taking care of any of the defects in the gel coat, etc with fiberglass. Then a light coat of filler will be used for final sanding.
