Kirk racing sent me the bent sections, I will be cutting, fishmouthing, modifing and installing the cage.

Nope conduit from homedepot, the thin wall makes it super cheap and passes the magnet test at the track which pvc can't do duh...

Sick, I say after you install the cage, have it wrapped in some sort of leather vinyl, or stitch it together imagine... black leather with lime green stitching? mmmm... I've seen it done on a GTi before, I'll try to find some pics, looked really sick.

edit: black with white stitch... i'm trying to find this dope mk4 vw w/ porsche seats and a custom stitched roll cage.

When i saw that i said "instant win". It gives the roll cage a more luxury look, less of a bar look i guess.

I don't know why it should cost that much. All you need is a good upholster and have them wrap the bar and stich it. I would think that the only thing that would cost alot would be the leather material.


I think...lol

Do the leather Danny, especially since you DD the G. It'll look sick.

Nice work on the gas cap too.

edit: You could even do alcantara/suede with green stitching...that would be nuts.
