yes, he cut and seam welded the edges with an additional piece of metal.

A few new pics. After taking the heater core out, car has been overheating because the thermostat is not functioning correctly. I am going to make a new hot feed to the thermostat to bypass. So radiator needs to come out to weld a fitting on.
Also the clock spring gave up, so I gutted it.

Wow just read through alot of the threads and i dont know how much you have invested but it looks amazing. I cant imagine if you had someone do this for you. I love that green it sets everything off on the black car....cant wait to see it all painted.
