So I think I have my issues sorted out. Just so you guys know, I have been battling overheating issues now that I removed the heater. I studied the flow charts etc, and look at the spare heads I have, and if you delete the bypass across the front of the motor and the heater, the t-stat never gets hot water across it to open. I tried everything from spill free funnel to, having the system pressurized and back filled. Still over heated no mater what and stat would not open.
So here is the solution.

4an to supply hot water from the radiator, to t-stat. I also modified the Nismo stat by removing the tiny plunger to help relieve any air that would want to get trapped.

basically ran a line from rad to the thermo housing to allow it to get to temp so it opens
Danny, you are an amazing guy...mad props!

Good call Danny. I bypassed the main line in front of the motor but still have my heater so there's no problem. I never thought about the heater being required to get the t-stat to open. Nice work!
