"New" Used hood for my G coupe
Seibon TS CF Replica. Picked it up from iusman today. Wouldnt fit right and it wouldnt lock. Eventually got it to work. Thanks for the effort dude, it was ****ing hot out too.
The hood itself needs a little work. Either it needs to be polished or just need new clear. Either way, It needs work to be perfect.
Overall, It was a steal for this hood. And I can paint it later on and fade the CF on the vents.
I'll consider blocking out the vents with fiberglass so that rain doesnt become a problem.
Onto the pics. Sorry, camera phone pics only.
One of the biggest things that bother me is the gap by the fenders. Its too big for my taste. Is there anything I can do about this?
More pics of the gap.

Do like I did, you see the red "lip" coming off the 'roll' of the fender that is now exposed some - just paint it black. It doesn't physically fill in the gap - but it sure "pushes" the black out and unless you are starring at it as close up as it took for your pictures, you'll think the black CF hood extends further out that it really does. I hope that helps.
Thanks Guys!

Welcome to the world of most aftermarket parts. White on Wheat gave the most "budget oriented" solution and not a bad one at that. Because the hood is fiberglass wrapped in carbon fiber, you can pretty easily add fiberglass to both sides to fill the gap. However, the wrapped in cf part will force you to either add cf to the 5mm or so on each side (wouldn't recommend) or, since you're going to paint it anyway, just make sure whatever you leave exposed isn't on the sides. Hopefully you're not painting the whole hood cuz then you just waisted money on a cf hood. lol. It's not a HARD fix but it's one that a skilled body guy would have to do.
