6MT sedans have a PS cooler so it should be the same as a Coupe. Like I said in my text yesterday sounds like you may have overfilled it. Did you turn your wheel all the way either direction a few times after you installed the NRG tank?

How did y'all get the burnt look on the stb and would it work with the GTspec one?

Also where can I find some better bolts or colored ones for the plenum both around it and the ones on top the plenum??

Need to get mine looking sexy too!!

The ARC STB is titanium. A couple of us (Dal35 and myself) have had it polished and then RRYDE burned it for us in his garage using a torch. It wouldn't work with a GT Spec one since its not titanium.

For bolts I just use allen or button head SS bolts from the local hardware store. There are some nice colored ones out there too, not sure where to get them from someone else can chime in on this.

yes i did, at first it was making noises and wheel was vibrating .. i added a little more fluid and everything seem to be working well.. i let the car run for a bit and every 5 min i would turn the wheel both was maxed out about 5-10 times each way ....

i finally drove home after working on the car for a few hours and it drove great ..

when i pulled into my drive way and turned the wheel to get in the noise started a little again . i get in my garage and pop the hood and fluid was all on top ..

i talked to kennymo who has a AT sedan and he told me the same thing was happening to him as well ...

it storming bad here in tampa,FL right now so im waiting to go back to the shop and start to work on the car a little more and see whats going on .. for some reason now i cant get the lid off the can :/ its like sealed but ill get it off one way or another

The only change NRG made to their tank was the fittings, the tank itself was not changed.

There are 2 holes on bottom of tank. With the cap off you should be able to see through one of the holes, that is the one to connect to the PS pump ( larger hose ). The other one goes to the return line ( smaller hose ).

The only way to get air out of the system is to turn the steering weel lock to lock ( all the way to left all the way to right ) several times. Just the engine running does not get all the air out.

The tank should be filled to about 1/4 - 1/8 inch below the hole in the top chamber.

It is normal to see a small amout of oil residue at top of the tank once in a while. If you do a lot of hard turning, like parallel parking, it will really gets the fluid flowing and creates a lot of pressure, so it has to go somewhere.

i took the lid off and its under the line inside the tank like a different chamber or something inside .. so i should be good ... but only thing is i didnt take hard turns or anything ..

so its ok to have a little fluid on top of the can ???

if it didnt work on my car what would be happening so i know what to look and listen for ??

thanks randy for a fast response for my question !!

this is a nice step for the sedan guys and i hope to get everything working right ..

another thing when you talked about the air releasing , do i need to keep the lid off while turning the wheels both ways or the lid needs to be on ???

Yes, when car is running and you are turning the wheels, I do recomend having the cap on the tank, fluid can fly out of there if not covered.

O ok .. I had a guy tell me today to take the lid off and do it ...

My question is if the lid is on and starts to build pressure. Where does the air go? ?

Here's a recent pic of my engine bay from the Spirit of Japantown show here in Nor Cal. Randy did a lot of work on my engine bay earlier of this year and i'm looking forward on getting more work done hopefully in the next few months.

Big thanks to Dave "OH6 G35" for snapping this pic.
