bump for Randy and the guys that showed today at import face-off! props to him for promoting enthusiasm within the community towards engine bay dress-up (and modding in general) while not getting caught up in the drama that follows some members. this thread is a great source of ideas for DIYers!

I'm sure anything could be done.
Would I have to ask for permission before I could assist you on modifying your car though ?

not an "engine bay" post... but it is another kudos to Randy's great work and help!!!
I ran this ATF cooler a few years ago - but took it off after one of the lines blew off and I had no gears on the freeway - it spooked me to the point that I didnt what to use it anymore...
But last track day (110 degrees outside), tranny and engine temps were real hot (fluids burned up)... so I decided I would mount the cooler again.
With the Kurookie bumper, the side vents are perfect for mounting external coolers or running break ducting - but I didnt really want to loose the funnel behind the bumper that directs airflow to the radiator... however, I also didnt want to mount the cooler in front of the radiator and block airflow.
Randy is probably the best source for great ideas to make stuff like this work... and he has done so many mods to so many cars, and is very familiar with the nuances of the G... After a bit of brainstorming - we decided to mount behind passenger side bumper vent (closer to trans lines) and Randy was able to mount it in front of the funnel to still scavenge some benefit of airflow directed to radiator (somewhat impeded, but still functional).
It may seem trivial to some people - but just about everything on this car is with function in mind... and I'm stoked with the location and functionality of this cooler!
Thanks a bunch Randy!
YaY for picture whoring
