For the time, effort and money you spent on having them painted you couldve easily gone with a powder coat, 10x more durable than paint and if you did it thru a legit shop they'd have hit it with a poly-urethane clear coat that's baked on.. With liquid paint a clear coat like that takes days to cure

he charged me $100. i gave him $120.
lifetime warranty on his paint.
cheaper, easier way to have it done..wouldnt have done it any other way..

Dont mean to trash talk but i do wheels for a living.. i can tell u if he did all that for $100bucks he's either lying to you about what he did or hes ur homie and giving u a fat hook up.. i have industrial machines to do this sorta work (high pressure sandblaster, powder coating machine and powder coating oven) n i've done countless sets including some done with paint and trust me a similar clear coat alone to one thats baked on at 450 degrees takes 2-3days to cure.. i've worked with it before.. a lot of shops like to bull**** about the work they do, but think about it logically would someone really spend 5+ hrs on ur wheels for $100 when they have to cover material costs, and shop overhead? doesnt really make sense unless u kno the guy.

friend of mine i guess you could say, works at the dodge dealer nearby and does work afterhours in the dodge shop..(not sure if the owner knows he's there!!) but he does nice work..had em re-paint my car recently..same base color, athens blue, but added a green pearl to it..looks great in the sun!! changes colors as you walk around it

you are right, it doesnt make any sense for him to spend a few hours on my wheels for $100, but since he's pocketing all $100-125 i give him, i don't think that's too bad for a few hours work..now if he were trying to run his own business, i could clearly see why $100-125 wouldn't even cover his workers' labor, material costs, and shop overhead
